If you’re organizing a trip on SquadTrip and need to connect Stripe to collect payments—but aren’t sure how to answer Stripe’s setup questions—this guide is for you.

We’ve included examples and instructions for:

5. Business Description

Tell Stripe:

  • What you’re collecting money for

  • When the trip/service will take place

  • How customers are paying

Examples:

  • Personal Trip:
    “I’m organizing a group trip for my birthday. Friends and family are paying through SquadTrip. The trip takes place in July 2025 and includes shared lodging and activities.”

  • Sole Proprietor:
    “I plan and manage group travel experiences. Customers pay through SquadTrip using payment plans. Trips happen 3–6 months after initial payment and include lodging, activities, and support.”

  • LLC:
    “We operate guided group trips. Guests book through SquadTrip and pay in full or installments. Trips include accommodations, activities, and concierge service.”

9. Best Practices to Avoid Flags

  • Provide a clear and accurate business description

  • Use your SquadTrip trip link or a public social profile if you don’t have a website

  • Never leave the business description blank

  • Choose the correct industry (e.g., Events, Travel—not Retail)

  • Respond quickly to any Stripe verification emails
