Why Change Your Stripe Account
If you need to update or change the Stripe account connected to your SquadTrip organizer profile, you can do so directly from your settings. This is useful if you're switching bank accounts, moving from a personal Stripe account to a business one, or reassigning ownership of trip payouts.
Steps to Change Your Connected Stripe Account
To change your connected Stripe account, follow these steps:
Log in to your Organizer account on SquadTrip.
In the top navigation bar, click on Settings
From the list on the left, select Company Settings.
Scroll down to the Payment Settings section.
Click Change Payment Processing Account.
You'll be redirected to the Stripe setup flow, where you can either log into a different Stripe account or create a new one. Once connected, all future trip payments will be routed to the new account.
⚠️ Before You Create a New Account
If you already have a Stripe account connected and it holds a balance, creating a new account does not move that balance with you. Your existing funds stay in your original Stripe account and will only reach your bank if you log into that account directly and release them (or set its payout schedule to automatic).
Only choose “Create a new account” if you intend to stop using your current one. Otherwise, log into your existing Stripe account when prompted rather than creating a second one. If you’re unsure which option applies to you, contact us before proceeding.
Important Note
Changing your payment processor does not affect any previous transactions or payouts — those remain in whichever Stripe account originally collected them. It only applies to new registrations moving forward. Before launching a new trip or collecting payments, confirm the correct Stripe account is connected, and check that account’s payout schedule (in your Stripe dashboard → Settings → Payouts) so your funds reach your bank the way you expect.
