Short answer: the money goes straight into your own Stripe account the moment a traveler pays, and Stripe sends it on to your bank on a schedule you control. SquadTrip never holds your money.
Stripe Is Your Bank, Not SquadTrip
SquadTrip is the checkout that rings up the sale — like the register at a store. Stripe is where your money actually lives. That means SquadTrip cannot see, hold, or release your balance, and cannot send you a payout. Anything about your balance, payouts, or bank transfers is handled in your Stripe dashboard.
How It Works
Connect your Stripe account to SquadTrip (a one-time setup).
When a traveler pays in the app, the funds land directly in your own Stripe account — never in a SquadTrip account.
Stripe pays that balance out to your bank account on your chosen schedule.
Automatic vs. Manual Payouts (Check This)
Your Stripe balance only reaches your bank based on your payout schedule, which you set in Stripe — not in SquadTrip:
Automatic — Stripe sends your balance to your bank on a set cadence (for example, daily or weekly) without you doing anything.
Manual — your balance waits in Stripe until you log in and release it yourself. If your schedule is manual and you never release it, the money sits in Stripe and does not reach your bank.
To check or change it: log in to your Stripe dashboard at stripe.com, go to Settings → Payouts, and pick the schedule you want. If you’d rather not think about it, set it to automatic.
Only Ever Connect One Stripe Account
Use a single Stripe account for SquadTrip. If you’re ever prompted to “create a new account” instead of logging into your existing one, stop — your current balance does not carry over to a new account. Money already collected stays in the original Stripe account and can only be released from there. If you think you need to switch accounts, talk to us first.
