When a trip sells rooms, you choose your room right on the trip page. Share a room and pay only for your own spot, or book a whole room for yourself or your group. If you share, you get a link after you pay so a friend can book the other spot and land in your room.
This guide walks you through it, from the trip page to checkout and after you pay. Your organizer chooses the rooms and prices, so your trip may show different rooms from the examples here.

Find the rooms on the trip page
Scroll down the trip page to where you book. If there's only one version of the trip, you see Choose your room with the rooms right under it. If there are packages to choose from, such as Standard and Premium, you see Choose your package: click See rooms on a package to open its rooms.
Each room has its photos and description. A room you can book more than one way may show From with its lowest price and a See options button: click it to see every way to book that room. On a smaller trip, everything is already open.
Read a room's options
Each way to book a room is a row with its price under Total:
Shared rows, such as "2 to a room" with "shared" under it. You pay for your own spot, so the price is per person. The other spot stays open for a friend you invite.
Private rows, such as "Private room, just you" or "Private room for 2". You book the whole room, so the price is per room.
If a price says Fee not included, a fee is added when you check out. Sold-out rooms may be listed at the bottom under Sold out.
Choose how many and book
Use the minus and plus buttons on the row you want. On a shared row, Guests is how many people you're paying for, you included. On a private row, Rooms is how many rooms you want.
When you change the number, the row tells you what you get, such as "You get 1 room that holds 2 spots, and you pay for 1. 1 spot stays open for a friend.", and shows what You pay. Paying for 2 on a "2 to a room" row fills the room for the two of you.
Click Book now on that row.
Check your room at checkout
If the trip has add-ons, the Add-On Options pop-up opens first: add any extras you want, or skip them. Then the checkout page opens with a Your room card above Payment Options.
The card shows your room, how it's sold, and one spot for each person: You, Your guest for each extra person you're paying for, and Open spot for each spot left. On a shared room, it reminds you that you get a share link right after you pay.
Bringing a friend? Tick I'm inviting a friend. Try to keep this spot open. In a room you may share with other travelers, other spots of this kind then fill first, for up to 7 days. Ask your friend to book soon.
On a private room, the card says "The whole room is yours. You can add the other names after you pay." Then choose how to pay and finish checkout. For the payment steps, see How to Book a Trip and Check Out on SquadTrip.
Share your room after you pay
If your room still has an open spot, the Payment Complete page shows Your room code and your room's share link. On a computer, click Copy share link and paste the link into a text or an email. On a phone, tap Share room link.
Room status: shows how many spots are paid, how many are open, and the price per spot. The same room code and link are in your confirmation email, and on the trip in your account until the room is full.
Join a friend's room
If a friend sent you their link, open it. You go straight to checkout for their room, with the add-ons first if the trip has any. A banner says "You're joining Jordan's room" with the room code. Pay for your own spot and you're in. Your receipt says whose room you're in.
Rooms you may share with another traveler
Some organizers let travelers who come alone share a room. On those rooms, the shared row says that if nobody uses your link, the next traveler booking alone is placed with you, and the Your room card says "You may share this room with another traveler on the trip."
If a room of that kind already has an open spot when you book, you take that spot. Your receipt then says you're sharing the room with another traveler on the trip, and your organizer can tell you more about your room before the trip.
On all other shared rooms, the open spot stays empty until a friend uses your link.
If your organizer moves you
Your organizer can move you to another room of the same kind, for example to put two friends together. You then get an email with the subject "Your room for Bali Wellness Retreat changed" that shows your room now. Nothing changes about what you paid or owe. To ask your organizer about it, reply to that email.
Good to know
You only pay for the spots you choose. An open spot in your room costs you nothing.
Everyone who joins pays for their own spot. Each friend books and pays separately, so you never collect money from anyone.
Paying for someone else? You add their name after you pay.
Booking from your organizer's own website? Book now opens checkout in a new tab.
