Overview

Booking a trip on SquadTrip takes about 5 minutes. You'll select your package, choose how to pay (in full or installments), create an account, and complete checkout. SquadTrip accepts credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Buy Now, Pay Later options depending on what the organizer has enabled.

Getting to Checkout

Visit the trip page shared by your organizer
Click the "BOOK NOW" button
This opens the booking flow

Select Your Package and Extras

Choose the number of travelers you're booking for, then click Continue. Browse any available add-ons like meals, flights, or airport shuttles. Add-ons can also be purchased after checkout based on availability.

If you have a promo code, enter it in the designated box and click Apply.

Choose Your Payment Option

Select how you'd like to pay:

Option	How It Works
Pay in Full	One-time payment for the total amount. Unlocks BNPL options if available.
Pay in Installments	Pay a deposit now, then monthly payments on a set schedule.

If you chose installments, you can view the payment schedule and adjust your deposit amount before continuing. Click "Continue to Checkout" to proceed.

Create Your Account or Sign In

New users can sign up with Google or email. Returning travelers log in with existing credentials.

New users also set a password (minimum 8 characters) and complete any registration questions required by the organizer.

Select Your Payment Method

Depending on what the organizer has enabled, you may see:

Method	Details
Card	Credit or debit card (always available)
Apple Pay	One-tap payment on supported Apple devices
Klarna	Pay in 4 installments, pay later, or financing options
Afterpay	Split into 4 interest-free payments
Affirm	Monthly installments, 3-36 months

Buy Now, Pay Later options (Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm) are only available when paying in full. A 4% convenience fee applies to all BNPL payments.

Enter Payment Details and Complete Checkout

For card payments, enter your card number, cardholder name, and billing address. For Apple Pay, authenticate on your device. For BNPL, you'll be redirected to the provider to complete setup.

Review the organizer's policies, check the agreement box, and type your full name to sign. Your name appears in a cursive preview as your electronic signature.

Click the "Pay [Amount] Now" button to finalize your booking.

After Booking

You'll receive a confirmation email with booking details and a receipt. Log in at dashboard.squadtrip.com/login to:

View your payment schedule and make payments
Update your credit card information
Download receipts
Access Group Chat (if enabled by the organizer)
View the trip itinerary and details

Important Notes

You need a SquadTrip account to book -- create one during checkout or sign in with Google
Only one promo code can be applied per booking
BNPL options are only available with Pay in Full, not installments
If you close the browser mid-checkout, your progress may not be saved -- complete the full flow in one session
After booking, you can manage your reservation from your traveler dashboard

Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
"BOOK NOW" button is grayed out	The trip may be sold out or registration may be closed. Contact the organizer.
Promo code not working	Check that the code is spelled correctly, hasn't expired, and applies to your selected package.
Payment declined	Verify your card details, check for sufficient funds, or try a different payment method.
Don't see BNPL options at checkout	BNPL is only available with Pay in Full. If you selected installments, switch to Pay in Full to see BNPL options.
Didn't receive confirmation email	Check your spam/junk folder. If still missing, log in at dashboard.squadtrip.com to verify your booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I book a trip for multiple people at once? A: Yes. During the first step of checkout, select the number of travelers you're booking for. Each traveler will be registered under your account, and you can enter their details during the booking process.

Q: What happens if I choose installments -- when are payments due? A: After paying your deposit at checkout, SquadTrip automatically schedules monthly payments leading up to the trip. You'll receive email reminders 5 days before each due date, and payments are charged automatically if auto-billing is enabled.

Q: Can I switch from installments to paying in full after booking? A: Yes. Log in to your traveler dashboard and use the "Make New Payment" button to pay your remaining balance at any time. This reduces your future installment amounts proportionally.

Q: Is my payment information secure? A: Yes. SquadTrip processes all payments through Stripe or Square, both PCI-compliant payment processors. Your card details are never stored on SquadTrip's servers -- they're encrypted and handled entirely by the payment gateway.

Q: What does the 4% BNPL fee cover? A: The 4% convenience fee is charged by SquadTrip to cover the costs of BNPL provider services (Klarna, Afterpay, or Affirm). It's added to your total at checkout. The trip organizer does not receive any portion of this fee.
