Overview
SquadTrip provides travelers with a complete booking experience -- from browsing the trip page to completing checkout and managing payments. You create a customized trip page with destination details, itineraries, FAQs, and packages or rooms. Your travelers pick a package or room on your trip page, click Book now, choose any add-ons, then pay on a checkout page with three steps and flexible payment options: Pay in Full, a SquadTrip Payment Plan, Apple Pay, and Buy Now, Pay Later. After booking, they use a dashboard to track payments, view receipts, and manage their reservation. If your trip was created on an older version of SquadTrip, some screens may look different.

The Trip Page
When travelers visit your SquadTrip trip page, they see:
Section | What's Displayed |
Trip Header | Trip name, dates, location, and destination images |
Trip Description | Your custom trip information and details |
Itinerary | Day-by-day breakdown with images and descriptions (if you've added one) |
Included in Registration | What the price includes, and Not included in Registration for what it doesn't (if you've added them) |
Packages | Under Choose your package (or Choose your room, when there is nothing to pick at package level): each package card opens with See rooms, and each room shows its lowest price (From) and the ways it is sold |
Available Add-On Activities | Optional extras travelers can add (if you offer add-ons) |
FAQ Section | Answers to common questions you've configured |
Location | Where the trip takes place, with a map (if you've set the trip's address) |
Trip Organized By | Your company name, logo and description, with the "Contact Trip Organizer" button that reveals your organizer email |
On a trip with rooms, each way a room is sold is a row, such as 2 to a room or Private room, just you, with its Total per person or per room, a Guests or Rooms stepper, what the traveler will pay (You pay) and Book now. On a shared row a traveler pays for their own spot, and the other spots stay open for a friend through the share link they get right after paying; if you let Anyone fill open spots, the next solo traveler can be placed with them. After Book now, an Add-On Options pop-up offers your add-ons (if you have any) before checkout. See Choosing your room when you book.
The Checkout Experience
After Book now and the Add-On Options pop-up, travelers reach Payment Options, which uses a 3-step accordion design. On a trip with rooms, a Your room card at the top shows the room they picked. After paying, new travelers finish creating their account on the Payment Complete page and then answer your registration questions.
Step 1: Choose Your Payment Option
Under Select Payment Option, travelers choose how to pay. Pay Today holds Pay in Full, and Pay Over Time holds the payment plan and Buy Now, Pay Later:
Option | Description |
SquadTrip Payment Plan | Under Pay Over Time, marked Popular: the deposit today, then the rest in payments on your schedule (Then N payments of), with No credit check. View payment schedule shows the dates and lets the traveler Adjust Initial Deposit. Payments are charged automatically only if you've turned on auto-billing |
Pay in Full | Under Pay Today: the entire trip price in one payment, marked Best Value with Save $X when it costs less than the plan |
Buy Now, Pay Later | Under Pay Over Time: $0 today with Klarna, Affirm or Afterpay (incl. 4% fee, Nothing due today), subject to credit approval; the traveler clicks Choose provider. Not offered on trips priced in euros |
The payment plan shows the amount due today, the remaining payments and their dates (View payment schedule) before the traveler commits.
Step 2: Choose Your Payment Method
For card or Apple Pay payments:
Method | Availability |
Credit/Debit Card | Always available (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) |
Apple Pay | Available on Apple devices with Safari (you need to turn it on; Stripe-processing trips only) |
For BNPL, Step 1 offers a "Choose provider" button and this step becomes Choose Payment Provider (Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay) in place of the card / Apple Pay choice.
Step 3: Enter Payment Details
Email address
Cardholder name
Card number, expiry, and CVV
Billing address (with Google autocomplete)
Terms & Conditions agreement checkbox
Auto-charge authorization (for payment plans, when you've turned on auto-billing)
Type-to-sign signature (traveler types their full name, displayed in cursive)
Payment method icons (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay) are displayed based on which methods you've enabled.
