How to Mark Your Trip as Sold Out

How to Mark Your Trip as Sold Out or Open for Booking

Updated today

This guide will walk you through the process of marking your trip as sold out or reopening it for new travelers to join. Keeping your availability status current ensures transparency and helps avoid overbooking or guest confusion.

Follow these steps to update your trip’s booking status:

trip basic page mark as sold out button

  • Go to Trip Builder from your dashboard after logging into your SquadTrip organizer account.

  • Click on the Basics tab to view your main trip details like title, dates, and booking options.

  • Use the Sold Out toggle to close or reopen bookings — turn it on to mark the trip as sold out, or off to allow new bookings.

How to Mark a Specific Package as Sold Out

You can also mark a single package as sold out without closing the whole trip. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Trip Builder and open the Packages tab.

  2. Find the package you want to update and click on Edit button on it.

  3. You can Mark it as Sold out using the toggle.

  4. Click Save changes at the bottom purple band.

That package will now show as sold out to travelers, while the rest of the trip stays open for booking.

Note-
If your trip packages are showing as “Sold Out,” it could be because of the following reasons:

  • If someone is trying to book the trip on the Trip Start Date. For example, if your trip basic start date is Dec 1 and someone tries to book on that date, they will see it as sold out. Make sure your Trip Basic Start Date and Package Start Dates are not conflicting. Trip Basic Start Date should not be in the past.

  • You have marked the packages as Sold Out from Packages or Room Types, or you have marked the Trip Basic as Sold Out.

  • You have enabled the Room Type option, but you have not assigned any packages to the room types. You need to review your inventory and assign packages to the room types accordingly.

  • All your packages are fully booked.

Keeping your trip and package status accurate helps you manage capacity, communicate with your audience more effectively, and avoid confusion or cancellations. If you encounter any issues while updating your trip’s availability, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
