Why Is My Trip Showing as "Sold Out" or "Waitlist"?

If your trip isn’t open for booking and shows as Sold Out or Waitlist, there are a couple of things you should check

Updated today

If your trip is showing as "Waitlist" or "Sold Out," it could be due to outdated or incorrect settings in your trip setup. SquadTrip allows you to control how and when your trips appear available to travelers—but certain settings can unintentionally make a trip appear closed for booking. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the key areas to review so you can resolve the issue and reopen your trip for sign-ups.

Follow these steps to check your setup:

  1. Go to Trip Manager > Basics

Trip Dates Calendar
  • Make sure your trip dates (start and end) are not in the past.

  • Check the Last Day to Book field—it should be a future date.

  • Confirm the "Sold Out" toggle is turned off.

2. Go to Trip Manager > Packages

Package Dates
  • Review the package start and end dates.

  • Check that your package or room type quantities are greater than zero.

  • If inventory is limited and already reached, the package will show as sold out.

3. Ensure at least one payment method is enabled. If all are off, travelers can’t book—even if the trip is technically open.

If any of these fields are outdated or incorrectly set, update them and click Save. After saving your changes, refresh your trip page. If everything is configured correctly, your trip should become available for booking again. Still not seeing it open?
