Overview
SquadTrip sends a Daily Chat Digest email summarizing Group Chat activity from the past 24 hours. It arrives daily at 6:00 PM Eastern -- only on days with new activity. This is the easiest way to stay in the loop without checking the chat constantly.
What's in the Digest
Your daily digest includes a summary of activity from the past 24 hours:

When It Arrives
Sent daily at 6:00 PM Eastern Time
Only sends when there is new activity -- no activity means no email
You receive one digest per trip you're part of
Turn the Digest On or Off
Navigate to Settings > Notifications
Toggle "Daily Digest Email" on or off
Your preference saves automatically
Notification settings are managed from the Settings > Notifications page, not from within the Group Chat view.
Important Notes
The digest is ON by default -- you'll receive it automatically unless you turn it off
Notification settings apply to your account globally, not per-trip
The digest only includes activity from the past 24 hours
For time-sensitive messages, consider enabling Real-Time Notifications as well
You can always open the full Group Chat to see the complete conversation
Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
Not receiving the digest email | Check that "Daily Digest Email" is toggled on in Settings > Notifications. Also check your spam/junk folder. |
Receiving digests for a trip I don't want | The digest is per-trip based on chat activity. You can turn off the daily digest globally in Settings > Notifications. |
Digest arriving at the wrong time | The digest sends at 6:00 PM Eastern Time. If you're in a different time zone, the delivery time adjusts accordingly. |
Want more frequent updates | Enable "Real-Time Notifications" in Settings > Notifications for instant alerts on new messages. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I change the time the daily digest arrives? A: No. The digest is sent at 6:00 PM Eastern Time for all users. You cannot customize the delivery time. If you need more immediate updates, enable Real-Time Notifications in your settings.
Q: Will I get a digest email if there's no new chat activity? A: No. The digest only sends when there is new activity in the Group Chat during the past 24 hours. No activity means no email -- you won't receive empty digests.
Q: Does the digest include messages from all my trips? A: You receive a separate digest for each trip you're part of. Each digest only contains activity from that specific trip's Group Chat.
Q: Can organizers see whether travelers are reading the digest? A: No. Organizers cannot see whether individual travelers open or read the daily digest email. The digest is a private notification between SquadTrip and the traveler.
