Overview
When you run a trip again — a new date, a new destination, or the next season of the same retreat — you don't have to rebuild it from scratch. Duplicating a trip copies the entire setup (packages, room types and pricing, itinerary, and registration questions) into a brand-new draft. You pick new dates, make any edits, and publish. The original trip stays exactly as it is, with its own bookings untouched.
Getting to Duplicate
Log in to SquadTrip and go to your Dashboard.
Find the trip you want to reuse and click its tile to open it.
In the action bar at the top, click Trip Actions ▾.
Choose Duplicate Trip from the menu.
Choosing New Dates
A Duplicate Trip dialog opens and asks for the new trip's start date and end date. Set them to your new travel window and confirm to create the copy.
What Gets Copied (and What You Set Fresh)
Copied automatically | You set / review after copying |
Packages and pricing | Trip dates (chosen in the dialog) |
Room types and occupancy pricing | Destination and trip name (edit if it's a new place) |
Itinerary | Cover photo and page details |
Registration questions | Payment connection (if not already connected) |
Payment-plan structure | A final review of prices before publishing |
Travelers and bookings do not carry over. The copy is a fresh, empty trip — no one is registered on it, and no payments move.
Editing and Republishing
The duplicated trip lands as a Draft. Open it in the Trip Builder, update anything you need (name, destination, photos, prices), make sure your payment account is connected, and then Publish. From that point it behaves like any other trip, with its own share link and its own bookings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does duplicating copy my travelers or their payments? No. Only the trip setup is copied — no travelers, bookings, or payments transfer to the new trip.
Can I change the destination after duplicating? Yes. Everything is editable after the copy is created, so you can reuse a trip's structure for a completely different location.
Does my original trip change? No. The original stays live and unchanged; the duplicate is entirely separate.
Do I need to reconnect payments? If your payment account is already connected to your organization, the new trip uses it. If not, connect it before publishing.
