Overview

SquadTrip's itinerary builder lets you create a day-by-day schedule with activities, descriptions, and photos. Travelers can view the itinerary on the trip page and download it as a PDF for offline reference. You can reorder days and activities with drag and drop.

Getting to the Itinerary Builder

From your organizer dashboard, click "Edit" on the trip you want to update
In the left sidebar, click "Itinerary" under Optional Enhancements
The itinerary builder opens with your existing days (or empty if starting fresh)

Add a New Day

Click the "+Add Day" button to add a new day. For each day, enter:

Field	What to Include
Title	Descriptive name for the day (e.g., "Beach Day & Snorkeling")
Description	Outline of the day's activities
Images/Photos	Optional visuals, displayed in 4:3 aspect ratio

Add Activities Within a Day

Click "Add Activity" within any day to add specific events or timed activities. Each activity can have its own title, description, and photos.

Reorder Days and Activities

Action	How
Reorder entire days	Drag the three horizontal lines (hamburger icon) next to any day
Reorder activities within a day	Drag and drop activities to a new position within the same day
Edit an entry	Click the three vertical dots on any entry to edit or delete

Click "Save Changes" after making edits, then "Next" to proceed.

Itinerary PDF Download

Travelers can download your itinerary as a PDF directly from the trip page. The PDF includes:

Day-by-day breakdown with titles and descriptions
Activity details and timing
Images (when included)

This is useful for travelers who want a printed or offline copy during the trip.

Important Notes

Day titles (Day 1, Day 2, etc.) are fixed and cannot be changed -- activity titles within days are fully customizable
Multiple activities can be grouped within a single day
Use landscape-oriented photos in 4:3 aspect ratio for consistent display
The itinerary is optional -- you can publish a trip without one
Travelers see the itinerary on the trip page after it's published

Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
Can't add a new day	Make sure you clicked "+Add Day." If the button doesn't respond, refresh the page.
Drag and drop not working	Try a different browser. Drag and drop works best in Chrome and Edge.
Photos not displaying correctly	Upload landscape photos. The builder displays images in 4:3 aspect ratio -- portrait photos may be cropped.
Itinerary not showing on the trip page	Save your changes and ensure the trip is published. Unpublished trips don't show itineraries to travelers.

Q: Can travelers see the itinerary before booking? A: Yes. The itinerary is visible on the public trip page, so potential travelers can review it before deciding to book. This helps set expectations and can increase conversions.

Q: Can I update the itinerary after travelers have booked? A: Yes. You can edit the itinerary at any time. Changes are reflected immediately on the trip page. Consider notifying travelers through Group Chat when you make significant changes.

Q: What's included in the PDF download for travelers? A: The PDF includes the full day-by-day itinerary with titles, descriptions, activity details, timing, and images. It's formatted for printing with SquadTrip branding.

Q: Is there a limit on how many days or activities I can add? A: There's no strict limit. You can add as many days and activities as your trip requires. Keep the itinerary organized and concise so travelers can easily scan it.
