If you are unable to click the toggle switches for Klarna, Affirm, or other payment methods while setting up your trip, it usually means your payment account is not connected yet.
When no payment processor is connected, SquadTrip will show an error message "An error occurred: No payment account is connected. Alternative payment methods cannot be enabled."
You may also see a “Payment account: Not connected” status at the top right of the Trip Builder screen.
Why is this happening?
You must connect a payment processor, such as Stripe, before you can turn on any payment options for your travelers. Until your account is connected, all payment method switches will stay disabled.
How do I fix it?
Follow these steps to connect your payment account:
Go to the top right corner of your Trip Builder screen.
Click on the Payment account section that shows “Not connected”.
Follow the prompts to connect your Stripe account.
Once connected, return to Payments & Settings.
You will now be able to turn on payment methods like Klarna, Affirm, etc.
Note: You will also be prompted to connect your payment processor when you try to publish your trip, if it isn’t already connected.
What happens after I connect my payment account?
Once Stripe is connected:
Payment method toggle switches will become clickable.
Your travelers can pay using any enabled method during checkout.
You can publish and start accepting payments for your trip.
