"An error occurred: The following payment methods cannot be enabled because they are not supported by your Stripe account - Affirm"
This error means that while SquadTrip supports these payment options, your specific Stripe account doesn't currently have access to them.
Why This Happens
Payment method availability is determined by Stripe, your payment processor. Stripe may restrict certain payment options based on several factors:
Account eligibility - Your business type, location, or account history
Transaction limits - Your typical transaction volume or average order value
Business criteria - Industry classification or risk assessment
Account verification status - Whether your account has completed all required verification steps
This means some payment methods may not be available for your account even though they're available in the SquadTrip platform.

The following payment options may show this error if not supported by your Stripe account:
Affirm - Buy now, pay later financing
Klarna - Flexible payment and financing options
Afterpay - Pay in installments financing
Apple Pay - Apple's digital wallet payment
How to Resolve This
Step 1: Contact Stripe Support
The most effective solution is to reach out directly to Stripe support to request access to the payment methods you want to offer:
Log into your Stripe account using the email id with which you created Stripe account.
Navigate to the support section
Submit a request explaining which payment methods you'd like to enable
Stripe will review your account and either enable the methods or explain any requirements you need to meet

Step 2: Once Stripe Approves Access
After Stripe enables the payment method on your account:
Return to SquadTrip's event settings
Go to your Payment settings in the Trip Builder
Toggle the payment method on
The option should now be available at checkout for your travelers
Step 3: Alternative Payment Options
While waiting for Stripe to enable additional payment methods, you can still offer other supported payment options at checkout to maximize flexibility for your travelers.
