Overview
SquadTrip provides travelers with a complete booking experience -- from browsing the trip page to completing checkout and managing payments. Organizers create customized trip pages with destination details, itineraries, FAQs, and packages. Travelers then book through a modern 3-step checkout with flexible payment options including installments, Pay in Full, Apple Pay, and Buy Now, Pay Later. After booking, travelers access a dashboard to track payments, view receipts, and manage their reservation.
The Trip Page
When travelers visit your SquadTrip trip page, they see:

Travelers select their package, choose add-ons (if available), and click through to checkout.
The Checkout Experience (V2)
SquadTrip's checkout uses a 3-step accordion design:
Step 1: Choose Your Payment Option
Travelers select how they want to pay:

Pay in Installments | Pay a deposit now, then monthly auto-payments (marked "Most Popular") |
Pay in Full | Pay the entire trip price in one payment |
Buy Now, Pay Later | Finance through Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay (4% convenience fee applies) |
The installment option shows the deposit amount, monthly payment breakdown, and due dates before the traveler commits.
Step 2: Choose Your Payment Method
For card or Apple Pay payments:

Apple Pay | Available on Apple devices with Safari (requires organizer to enable) |
For BNPL, the provider is selected in Step 1 and this step is skipped.
Step 3: Enter Payment Details
Email address
Cardholder name
Card number, expiry, and CVV
Billing address (with Google autocomplete)
Terms & Conditions agreement checkbox
Auto-charge authorization (for installment plans)
Type-to-sign signature (traveler types their full name, displayed in cursive)
Payment method icons (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay) are displayed based on which methods the organizer has enabled.
After Booking: The Traveler Dashboard
Once booked, travelers can log in to their dashboard to:

Travelers receive automated reminder emails before each scheduled payment, and payments are charged automatically on the due date.
Important Notes
The 3-step checkout works on all modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and mobile devices
BNPL is only available with the Pay in Full option -- not with installment plans
The 6% processing fee is shown as a line item at checkout (or absorbed by the organizer if configured)
Apple Pay requires an Apple device and Safari browser
Travelers sign Terms & Conditions, Waiver, and Refund Policy at checkout -- a contract PDF is generated automatically
Payment reminders are sent automatically before each due date
Troubleshooting

Trip page doesn't show packages | The organizer may not have published packages yet. Contact the organizer to confirm the trip is set up. |

Can't find the traveler dashboard | Log in at the link provided in your booking confirmation email. Your dashboard shows all trips you've booked. |
Apple Pay button not showing | Apple Pay requires an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) and Safari browser. It won't appear on Android or non-Safari browsers. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What payment methods can I use at checkout? A: SquadTrip supports credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Apple Pay (on Apple devices with Safari), and Buy Now, Pay Later through Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay. Available methods depend on which ones the organizer has enabled for their trip.
Q: Can I see my payment schedule and remaining balance after booking? A: Yes. Log in to your traveler dashboard to view your complete payment schedule, upcoming payment dates, past payments, and remaining balance. You also receive automated reminder emails before each scheduled payment.
Q: Is my payment information secure? A: Yes. SquadTrip processes all payments through Stripe or Square, both PCI-compliant payment processors. Your card details are handled directly by the payment processor -- SquadTrip does not store your full card number. The checkout uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all transactions.
Q: What happens after I complete checkout? A: You receive a booking confirmation email with your trip details and payment summary. A signed contract PDF is generated with the Terms & Conditions, Waiver, and Refund Policy. You can access your traveler dashboard at any time to view payments, trip details, and contact the organizer.
Q: Can I change my payment method after booking? A: Yes. Log in to your traveler dashboard and update your card information. The updated card will be used for future auto-billed installments. See Updating Your Credit Card Info for step-by-step instructions.
