Overview
SquadTrip supports Google Sign-In, so you can create an account or log in using your Google account — no need to remember another password. This works for both travelers and organizers.
Getting to Google Sign-In
Go to the SquadTrip login page at dashboard.squadtrip.com
Look for the "Sign in with Google" button below the email/password fields
Signing Up with Google
If you're new to SquadTrip:
Go to the SquadTrip login page
Click "Sign in with Google"
Select your Google account (or enter your Google email and password)
Authorize SquadTrip to access your basic profile info (name and email)
Your SquadTrip account is created automatically using your Google profile information
You're logged in and ready to go!
What SquadTrip accesses: Only your name and email address from your Google account. SquadTrip does not access your contacts, calendar, or other Google data.
Logging In with Google
If you already have a SquadTrip account linked to Google:
Go to the SquadTrip login page
Click "Sign in with Google"
Select your Google account
You're logged in — that's it!
Linking Google to an Existing Account
If you originally signed up with email/password and want to add Google Sign-In:
Log in with your email and password as usual
When you use "Sign in with Google" with the same email address, SquadTrip links your Google account to your existing profile
Going forward, you can log in with either method
Setting Up a Password (Google Users)
If you signed up with Google and want to also have a traditional password:
Go to the login page
Click "Forgot Password?"
Enter the email address associated with your Google account
You'll receive a one-time password (OTP) via email
Enter the OTP and create a new password
Now you can log in with either Google or your email/password
This is useful if you sometimes want to log in on devices where you're not signed into Google.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use Google Sign-In for both traveler and organizer accounts? A: Yes, Google Sign-In works for both account types.
Q: What if my Google email is different from my SquadTrip email? A: Your Google Sign-In email must match your SquadTrip account email. If they're different, you'll create a new account instead of linking to your existing one.
Q: Is my Google password shared with SquadTrip? A: No. Google Sign-In uses OAuth, which means SquadTrip never sees or stores your Google password. Authentication happens directly with Google.
Q: I see "set up your account password" when trying to log in — what does this mean? A: This means your account was created via Google and doesn't have a traditional password yet. Either use the "Sign in with Google" button, or set up a password using the "Forgot Password?" flow.
Q: Can I disconnect Google from my account? A: If you've set up a password (see above), you can log in with email/password without using Google. Contact support if you need to fully disconnect Google from your account.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
"Sign in with Google" button not appearing | Refresh the login page and ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser. If you are using a privacy-focused browser or extension that blocks third-party scripts, try disabling it temporarily or use a different browser. |
Google sign-in redirects but does not log me in | Your Google email may not match an existing SquadTrip account, causing a new account to be created. Check which email you are using. If you already have an account with a different email, log in with your original credentials. |
Error message after authorizing Google | Clear your browser cookies and cache, then try again. If the error persists, try signing in using an incognito/private window. Contact support at [email protected] if the issue continues. |
Created a duplicate account accidentally | If you signed in with Google using a different email than your existing account, contact support to merge your accounts. Provide both email addresses so we can consolidate your bookings. |
